Sable Lodge

A Warm Welcome to Sable Lodge Sable Lodge at Imire Safari Ranch is a cool, green retreat just an hour and a half or so from Harare. Stay in comfortable individual lodges, enjoy fine home cooking, take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool and relax in our beautiful garden, all in close proximity to the amazing African bush. 24 hours at Imire Safari Ranch is a great experience, filled with awesome encounters. You’ll learn about the history of Imire, current projects, the animals that live here and the work we do to help protect them. Enjoy a welcome tea, followed by a game drive through the park. Meet Nzou, the matriarch elephant of the buffalo herd and Tatenda, the baby black rhino. Take a Sundowners Tour and sit down to some evening’s entertainment with dinner. Take the opportunity to ride the elephants early in the morning – which is the most wonderful experience, getting up close to these magnificent animals in the fresh morning air! Accommodation: Room 1 - Twin beds with en suite bathroom (sleeps 2 people) Room 2 - Twin beds with en suite bathroom (sleeps 2 people) Room 3 - Double bed with en suite bathroom (sleeps 2 people) Room 4 - Double bed with en suite bathroom (sleeps 2 people) Room 5 - Double bed with en suite bathroom (sleeps 2 people) Room 6 - Double bed and twin bed upstairs with en suite bathroom (sleeps 4 people) Room 7 - Double bed and four single beds with en suite bathroom (sleeps 4 people) Sable Lodge Overnight Stay – a typical itinerary… 9.30am Arrive at Sable Lodge Enjoy some tea, coffee and biscuits, meet the team. 10.00am Game Drive See black rhino, elephant, lion, hyena, giraffe and a variety of plains game. 1.00pm Enjoy a refreshing lunch at the dam - and you may even see the elephants swim! 2.00pm Game drive continues - elephant, buffalo, crocodile, sable, wildebeest and more plains game. 3.30pm Tea and Coffee back at Lodge 5.00pm Sundowners Tour 7.00pm Back to Lodge Enjoy an evening’s entertainment and dinner is served at 8. 6.00am the following day... Elephant Ride - optional. A most memorable time with these magnificent animals! 8.00am Breakfast and depart at 9.30am.
